With heavy hearts, we are said to announce that on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 Francesco (Frank) Commisso passed away peacefully at the McCausland Hospital in Terrace Bay, Ontario, in his 85th year. Frank was a longtime resident of Schreiber, Ontario; was born in Italy to the late Dominic Commisso and Rosa (Trichilo). Loving husband to Maria (Muia), father to Dominic (Andrea), Domiano, Cosimo (Laura), and Anna (Andrew). Proud grandfather to Bianca, Amanda, AJ, and Addisyn. Frank will be missed by his brothers Cosimo (Pina), Joseph (Antoinette), Nick (Rosetta), and James (Rosanna); as well as his sisters Sarafina (Vincenzo), and Mary (Cosimo). Lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends. Frank was a dedicated family man. He studied his master carpentry trade since the age of 13 in his homeland of Italy where he developed his strong work ethic. When not working, he enjoyed hunting, watching his beloved Leafs, and spending time in his carpentry shop. He was always available to offer a helping-hand to anyone in the community, and enjoyed time with family and friends. He retired from working at the Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Mill in Terrace Bay, Ontario. Every Sunday he occupied the same pew at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber, Ontario. The family expresses its' heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the McCausland Hospital who provided him with care. The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 7pm for Vigil Prayers. A Memorial Mass will be on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00am also at Holy Angels. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Filanes Minor Hockey Association, or Schreiber Minor Hockey would be appreciated. Frank always believed everyone should get a chance to play.

I would like to express my condolences to Mary and family. We were neighbours for many years . I remember Frank as a smiley, friendly person who enjoyed life and was proud of his family. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

To the Frank's Family:
My deepest condolences and prayers. It was a great carpenter and a professional and competent Chip and Saw Operator at the KC Stud mill while I was his green line grader. Frank has had a terrific life that he enjoyed it to the full extend. He will be missed by his family and friends.
The Heaven's gate was opened to welcome him by the Creator.
Sincerely yours in the Lord Jesus!

My Dear Friends Anna (and family)
I seen this and wanted to share it with you....
Let the Tears Flow
What is it about tears we are afraid of? It is human to cry. Crying helps you to heal. Cry with friends, family, and alone. Don't be surprised when a grief ambush overcomes you. Just be in the moment, and it will pass. Struggle through your emotions and you will find relief as your reward.
Love you all....Janice and Brian
