Francis Brown

Francis Brown, 83, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Milford, MA and Mendon, MA passed away on August 6, 2025, after a period of declining health. Born on May 23,1942, Francis was the son of the late Leroy and Bridget (Filosa) Brown and son-in-law of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Saracino) Montenegrino.

Born and raised in Milford, Francis attended Milford Schools and was a former member of the Army National Guard. In 1963 he married Frances Montenegrino and the couple moved to Mendon and raised their family. Francis retired from Verizon in 1998 after 35 years of service and was a proud member of his Local IBEW. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and classic car enthusiast. Francis was predeceased by his wife, Frances Montenegrino, who passed away on August 27, 2022.

Francis leaves behind a son, Michael Brown, of Williams, AZ; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Brown, of Williams AZ; daughter, Karen Creery and her husband Richard, of Sun City, AZ; grandson, Steven Brown, of Williams, AZ; granddaughter, Bethany Brown, of Williams AZ; brothers, James Brown, of Worcester, MA; and Thomas Brown and his wife Jan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In a final act of giving, Francis chose to donate his body for the purpose of educational advancement. His burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus cemetery in Milford, MA will take place at a later date.
