Frank Altimore

Frank Altimore, 55, of Manassas, Va., formerly of Monessen, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at his residence, following an illness of 19 months. He was born Aug. 23, 1946, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Michael E. Altimore and Sadie (Kelton) Altimore, of Monessen, who survives. He was a resident of Monessen until moving to Manassas in October 1987. He was a member of All Saints R.C. Church in Manassas, and a member of the former St. Cajetan R.C. Church in Monessen. While living in Monessen, he was a member of numerous ethnic and social clubs. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard from October 1965 until October 1971. He was employed at Aeronautical Systems Inc. of Manassas, having worked as a quality assurance engineer. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patty (Cone) Altimore, whom he married in September 1970, and a son, Michael Sean Altimore of Monessen. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. A blessing will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
