To the Hite Family, Your dad was a kind and caring person that I always enjoyed being around. I first met Frank when I moved to Carrollton in 1971 when your parents lived on Sugar Hill Road. At that time the center of activity was Bill Reid's Shop or the Carrollton Fire Department. Frank helped Mr. Cratch build the house that I live in now. I would occasionally see Frank through the years. My sincere sympathy to you.

The officers and membership of Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department convey sincere condolences to the family of one of its' charter members. Frank Hite was one of the founders of our all-volunteer agency and was very active as a firefighter and engineer in the early years of our department. Without dedicated volunteers such as Frank, our fire company would not have had its' early successes in rapidly responding to fire and rescue emergencies in Carrollton and nearby mutual aid areas. His dedication to duty and his commitment to saving the lives and property of his fellow citizens will be long remembered not only by our membership but also the residents of Carrollton. Rest in peace Brother Firefighter, you have served your community well.

Frank, you and I have been friends since 1978. You and Mary introduced Debra and I . Mary was the Maid of Honor and you were one of my groomsman. We went to many NASCAR races together and spent many work days and nights side by side. You will be greatly missed my friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with your three sweet daughters and their families during this most difficult time. Rest easy my friend and tell Mary we miss her too. Love you brother

His patience, willingness to help and kind manner set a great example for us all. Just by always doing his best, he helped prepare us to take care of ourselves and help others when possible. I truly believe his words and deeds often made the world a little better, one step at a time.
