Frank Juliano Obituary

Frank Anthony Juliano, Sr., in Branford, Thursday (October 10, 2002). He was the husband of Laura Anastasia Juliano of Kirkby La., West Haven. Father of Frank A. Juliano, Jr. of Waterbury and James Philip Juliano of Simsbury. Brother of Irene Lauria of West Haven. Also survived by two grandsons. Predeceased by his parents, Antonio Goncalves Juliano and Joaquina Rosa Cunha and sisters, Alice Bernardes and Anne Gonsalves. Born in New Haven, March 30, 1923, he resided in East Haven from 1950 to 1977, then in Orange until 1987 and from 1987 to the present in West Haven. He served during World War II in the Navy and was discharged as a Chief Petty officer. He began his career in 1948 employed by DeFelice Construction Co., then from 1949 to 1963 he was a foreman for Mariani Construction. In 1963, he became a principal in the Leone Construction Co. until 1966 when he became the Vice-President of Greiner Engineering until retirement in 1991. He was a former member of the Board of Govenors, Ct. Construction Industry, Univ of Hartford, the Central CT. State Univ. School of Technology, Chairman of Sub-committee on construction. Since 1984, he has been on the American Arbitration Assoc. Natl. panel. Since 1992, he has served on the panel of American Arbitration as a mediator. He was a former member of the East Haven Auxiliary Police Dept. Funeral services from the West Haven Funeral Home at the green Monday morning, at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 10 a.m. The hours for visitation will be TODAY, 3-7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Donations may be made to Ct. Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford 06405 or to Hospital of St. Raphael, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, 06511.
