Frank A. Novak

Frank Anthony “Frankie” Novak, age 84, died at his home in Kirtland on March 29, 2021. Frank was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in physics. After joining Ardac, Inc. as an electrical engineer early in his career, he quickly moved up the ranks to president and later purchased, sold, and repurchased the company. Frank loved sailing his Tartan 37 sailboat and later racing model yachts. He will be remembered for his passion for life and the deference and respect he consistently showed all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Everyone loved Frankie.Frank is survived by his wife: Laura Novak, children: Ruth (Marty) O’Toole, Gwen Schultz, Frank Novak Jr., Daniel Novak, Carrie Delaplane and Kelly Novak, sister: Barb Sostakowski, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews,He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Novak and brother in law: Pete Sostakowski. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., to conclude the visitation. Masks are required and social distancing is encouraged during all publicly attended events.
