Frank Saiz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 20 to May 21, 2021.
Frank Saiz, 73, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.
He was born in Chaperito, N.M. on June 4, 1947 to Manuel and Sofia Jaramillo Saiz.
Frank had a great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh.
He loved being outdoors and loved the ranch life and was a ranch hand at Conchas Ranch and other ranches during his younger days. He was always dressed neatly in his cowboy attire and always made sure his cars were nice and clean.
Frank held many different jobs over his lifetime, but one of his best and most rewarding jobs was being a school bus driver for both East and West Las Vegas School Districts. His love for the children he bused to and from school was unmeasurable. He eventually retired from the West Las Vegas Schools.
Frank loved to dance, listening to old country and New Mexico Spanish Music. He loved spending time with family and friends, telling stories and talking about the good old days. He loved watching old western movies. Frank loved spending time with and spoiling his two dogs Foxy and Lobo. Ironically Foxy passed away the day after Frank.
He made many close and dear friends throughout his lifetime. He went to school for trucking and roofing and had many handyman skills that he used to help do many small and large projects for family and friends. He was a lifelong catholic and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dominico, Delfino and Estevan Saiz; sister in law Josie Saiz; and brother in law Orlando Ortega; and Marcelino "Marce" Trujillo.
Survivors include his two daughters, Margret Lopez (John) of Santa Fe; Loretta Saiz (Dwight Torres) of Las Vegas; his longtime partner and companion Sadie Trujillo and her daughters Joyce Chavez (Mike) and Isabella Burdick (Chris) and their children Esperanza, Amor and Mateo; his siblings, Margarito Saiz of Albuquerque, Ray Saiz (Margie), Viola Ortega, Vita Lucero from Las Vegas, Mary Sanchez (Arsenio) of Trementina and Anita Lucero (Fred) of Ft. Worth, Tex.; three grandchildren, Daisy Lopez and Daniel (DJ) and Ashley Jaramillo. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends and students he met over his lifetime.
Cremation has taken place and a mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, N.M., with Father Joseph as celebrant. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services are limited to family members only. Masks and social distancing must be adhered to.
