To Pat and Family and The Taylor Family, I offer my condolences and must say the "Celebration of Fred's Life" held on Tuesday 29th January at his Beloved SDFC where the Members Lounge was packed to the rafters like the days when he won those 3 Premierships in the early 60's. The emotional eulogy from Jimmy Taylor replaying his final nod from Fearless, a tear jerker and thanks Jimmy, along with Bunt's sharing a Bulk Wheelchair buy with Fred, also M.C. Darren McAullay's replay of the Perth Cup win of Meliador, with the colours designed by our Swannies Mate, the Late Max Simmonds, Black and White Stripes, no less, with Green Sleeves and Cap, bought a cheer all round, Then to finish off a laugh all round at a video clip some 40 yrs ago of Fred's Version of "Dellilah" . At completion of his final drive around Bazzo Oval, we all enjoyed some drinks and nibbles and fellowship for which we thank Pat and Steve and Family.... PS.. I must say I was impressed when chatting to the Grandsons, that Fred's Life Members Medal, in true Military Style was worn on his right lapel indicating another persons honour and of course you wear your own awards on your left lapel. Well Done Guys... RIP Lest we Forget
