Fred Newhouse Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 29 to Jan. 30, 2013.
Fred Donald "Podjo" Newhouse, 74, of Kingston, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in Parkwest Medical Center.
He was born June 24, 1938, in Kingston and was a longtime resident of Roane County. He retired from TVA in 1994 as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was also a U.S. Army corporal veteran who served his country proudly during the Vietnam era. He was an avid NASCAR fan and attended NASCAR races as long as he was able. He loved cars and motorcycles, but above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends. During his lifetime, he was privileged to do many things some only dream about, such as being a boxer, skater and a race-car driver. One of his favorite enjoyments was meeting up with his friends at Handee Burger and sitting at the "liars table," where he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Freemont and Helen Britt Newhouse; and brothers, William Robert "Rip" and Roy Eugene "Hosea" Newhouse.
Survivors include daughters, Linda N. Siecinski and husband Paul, Loudon, Gerry Raines and husband Eddie, Kingston, and Monica Rodriguez and husband Mario, Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Brad Fletcher, Murfreesboro, Chris Fletcher and wife Ashley and children Lillie and Brody, Murfreesboro, Michael Waldo and fiancée Chelsea Smith, Kingston, Chad Siecinski and wife Meagan, Holland, Mich., Ava Rodriguez, Long Beach, and Mason Rodriguez, Long Beach; sisters, Margaret Jane DeHart, Kingston, and Minnie L. Lincoln and husband Jimmy, Franklin; sister-in-law, Nancy Marley Newhouse, Bandera, Texas; a host of extended family; beloved nieces, nephews and many good friends.
The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, in Fraker Funeral Home, Kingston. Celebration of his life followed the visitation at 8 p.m. Burial will be at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Willard Park Cemetery in Harriman.
