FEDDEMA _ Fredericus Alouisius Maria 1927 - 2004 Fred Feddema of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Bow View Manor after losing the battle with cancer on April 9, 2004 at the age of 76 years. In the fall of 1927 Fred was born in Leens, Netherlands, one of thirteen children. He served in the military in Indonesia before marrying Elisabeth Anna Maria Tholen in 1952. That same year they immigrated to Canada where they settled in Calgary and they raised seven children. Fred was an active volunteer for over fifty years at St. Anthony's Parish and community, always willing to lend a hand. He served as a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Fred is survived by his loving wife Elisabeth of fifty-two years; and his children, Adrian (Bev), Rudy (Dianna), Fred (Jennifer), Ted, Maria, Joan (Hardy), Bernie (Susanne); grandchildren, Jessie (Sean), Jaime, Jason, Christie (Rick), Drew, Daina, Daniel, Aaron, Kimberly, Evan, Roxanne, Samantha, Justin, Elise, Danaka; great-grandchild Paige; sisters, Margaret, Martha, Riek; brother Martin. The family would like to thank the Homecare staff and the staff of Bow View Manor for ensuring our father was always comfortable. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (5340 - 4 Street S.W.) on Sunday, April 11, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church (5340 - 4 Street S.W.) on Monday, April 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Eulogio Estaris, Presider. E-mail condolences may be sent to Fred's family c/o [email protected]. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to either The Canadian Cancer Society, St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
