Fritz has been an amazing friend, Cartago neighbor and human for over 40 years of my life. Lasting memories of many dinners with him & Mickey and time spent with his best Bud taking work breaks under a tree. He had the kindest heart and most helpful hands. He was loyal to those he loved and cared for while staying loyal to himself. He always had a dog treat in his pocket and cats with free access to his back door...and a joke and a laugh to lighten any mood. He was a dear soul and has left a lasting legacy in the desert he loved so much. We loved him and still do.

Fritz was ALWAYS very kind to me, and loved and respected my partner, who was also his neighbor. Fritz was a careful listener, who seized the opportunity to be funny and lighten the mood, and also quietly and sincerely stood nearby so one could feel his empathy. It was really nice to see him smile or hear him laugh. I am very grateful to have known Fritz and talked to him.
