Gary Drenen Brown, 77, of Sun City, AZ (formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA) passed away on November 8, 2018. Gary was born in Brooklyn, IA on February 22, 1941, to Drenen Francis and Mary Margaret (Landuyt) Brown.
He attended Belle Plaine High School and the University of Iowa.
Gary served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Following his service years in the Army, Gary was in electrical wholesale product sales for over 40 years.
In 1990, Gary married Pamela Joyce (Zielstra) Miller in Creston, IA.
Gary enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes football fan for many, many years.
He was an active member of Christ's Church of the Valley, the Moose and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela of Sun City, AZ; his children: Tracey Martin (Todd Drazkowski) of Peoria, AZ, Christopher Brown of Cedar Rapids, IA and Ira Miller (Catherine Love) of Helena, MT; his sisters, LaDonna (Dean) Ricklefs of Marion, IA and Shirley (Mike) Mulherin of Frisco, TX; as well as his grandchildren: Colton Martin of Houston, TX, Jenna Martin of Ft. Collins, CO and Adam Brown of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Graveside services and a Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on June 15, 2019 in Iowa.
