Dear Mrs. Prowse and family,
I was saddened to read of Gary's passing, as was published in the Lynden Tribune. I knew Gary (Woods) when we were young teenagers, both working for Mr. Baker, at the Super Valu grocery store on 4th Ave., at Bayswater St., in Vancouver. We were school chums, too, attending Kitsilano High School at the time. I was one year ahead of Gary, class of '59. Although 50+ years have passed since I last saw Gary, I still recognized his smile, as he was recently pictured in the Lynden Tribune. He had a wonderful smile and a delightful sense of humor, as a very young man. It appears that he never lost those fine qualities. Now, my thoughts are of you. My husband and I sincerely pray that God will be a great source of comfort to you at this most difficult time.

Dear Marion and family,
Mom and I are saddened to hear of Gary's passing.
Marion and Gary lived across the back alley from us back in the late 60's.
It was at their house we witnessed the historical event of the First Lunar Landing, July 20th, 1969.
We are so grateful to have seen you both for Mom's Birthday a couple of years ago.
Our thoughts are with you all at this time.

Dear Marion and family; we were greatly saddened to hear of Gary's passing. Alan and I enjoyed the visits we had over the years; although not many in number, they were always memorable. When we think of Gary, we remember his sense of humour and see him smile as he told his stories. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you celebrate his life.

First and foremost, our thoughts & prayers are with Gary's wife Marion & the entire family.
My wife knew Gary long before I ever met him.He became my boss when he took over the Stores Department at CHC Int'l division. He was excellent at his job. From there we became friends & kept in touch when he had to leave because of illness. He was a wonderful boss,a good friend, and a unique person. He was a marvellous storyteller, especially when it came to the past years of the helicopter industry and the people he had worked with.He had the gift of being able to put the pauses in the right place when telling stories.Gary also had a great sense of humour. He loved to laugh.Gary,I will never forget the wonderful time we had at the OKH reunion both at the motel & at the due itself.I have lost someone I cared about very deeply but have gained an angel in heaven I know.Gary,we will meet again someday.Until then, try to keep Emile & Rocky in line if you can.
