Gary A. Thurlow, Jr., 43, died Sunday, December 19, 2021 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of eight years, Tonya L. (Curran) Thurlow; his mother, Lydia (Yanis) Simoneau, of West Boylston; a brother, Adam Thurlow; three sisters: Danielle and Kristen Thurlow, both of Worcester, and Rachel Turner, of Spencer; four step-children: Katelynn, Autumn, Mordecai, and A.J.; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Gary was born in Worcester, son of the late Gary A. Thurlow, Sr., and was a recent graduate of the University of Phoenix, earning a B.S. in Psychology.
For many years, Gary worked as a Chef for Raytheon Corporation at their Marlboro location.
Gary was a huge Greenbay Packers fan who despised the New England Patriots. He enjoyed swimming, playing volleyball, darts, cards, and Chess. He was a selfless person who always went out of his way to help others. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, and simply having a good time.
Funeral services are private. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, MA 01510. To share a memory of Gary, or to leave a message of condolence for his family, please visit www.mcnallywatson.com

Gary was an amazing and humble person- he was tireless in helping Lydia and Mark when they got COVID, and was the only one by Mark's side when he passed away. He showed compassion, caring, and humility; the world is poorer without him.
He made it there :) his dream.

My absolute love. I am sorry I wasn't able to say goodbye.
I am glad we were able to see the packers at Lambeau. I am glad to have spent the last year of my life with you.
To Tonyas children: he kept all your cards. I'm sorry, Tonya, I could find nothing of yours, but he did absolutely love your kids.

My sincere condolences to all the family. I was saddened to read about Gary, taken from his family at such a young age. He was a student of mine at Naquag School in Rutland. May he rest in Peace.
