We called him affectionately called him Genie boy. He gave me my first job (choppin' cotton) and never raised his voice when he caught me plowin his fields in what he called "highway gear" when i was trying to hurry up and get done. He was patient, kind, generous and the best role model a person could have. I cant think of a better person to try to emulate. I'll miss him dearly

The wonderful times we shared while growing up and beyond! The memories are etched in my mind forever. Pestering the older cousins (and a younger one or two), the hours we spent playing hide and seek, the exciting times we shared while waiting for Santa at Grandpas house, and just being a part of a devoted loving family that was blessed to have had Gene for 88 years. The examples he left will live forever.
