None of the Harrison family will remember me as I have been gone from the area many many years. I am the middle daughter of Paul & Gladys Tisdale (Tisdale's Barber Shop). I do want to tell you that George meant so much to me while I was growing up. If you set aside all the great civic/community works he has done, he is still one of the finest men who ever graced the earth and he was so good and kind to everybody. My Mom and Dad thought so much of him and I have thought about him many times over the years. May God bless and be with you all.

My parents told a story about Mr. George of how the first time he was running for supervisor he came to our house in Ovett and asked for their votes. When he started to leave they helped him push his car off to get it started. He never forgot them nor did they forget him. He did what ever he could for you if you needed help. he was a good man. I don't think they make men like him anymore or else if they do they don't run for political office. My sincere sympathy to the Harrison family.

May the good lord be with you through these times. George will truly be missed by all. I can still remember the Sunday mornings he spent at my dad's fix-it shop dad had at the house. They solved all the problems of the world. George even taught me to shoot pool standing on an " Apple Crate"! I'll never forget that, he got the biggest kick out of me standing on that old "Apple Crate"!
