KOHLES George M., Jr. 74 of Manahawkin, formerly of Bogota died Saturday, November 17, 2007. Before retiring in 1999 he was traffic manager for Stanson Chemical, Teaneck where he worked for 39 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, Bogota, a graduate of St. Joseph's School and cub master of Pack 42. He was treasurer of the East Bergen Police Bowling League. He was active in the Bogota Buc Boosters and was Past Grand Knight of the K of C, Teaneck. He was a private 4th class in the NJ National Guard, Teaneck and Jersey City. He was a member of the Manahawkin Elks. George was a life member and ex-captain of Hook and Ladder Company 1, Bogota Fire Department and ex-chief of the department. He belonged to the Bogota Exempt Firemens' Association. Beloved husband of Phyllis. Devoted father of George M., III, Gregory (Theresa), Glenn (Theresa), Gordon (Lisa) and Guy (Lori). Dear brother of Gary (Lois). Loving grandfather of Danielle, Gail, Brian, Gregory, Ashley, Bridget, Glenn, Gordon, Matthew, Kaylee, Michael, Julia, Sarah, Elanie and the late Jessica. Also survived by his buddy Sonny. Funeral from the Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota, Wednesday morning at 8:30 AM. Mass at St. Joseph's RC Church at 9:30 AM. Interment Hackensack Cemetery. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday and Tuesday. Memorial contributions to the Manahawkin Elks Crippled Children Fund would be appreciated.
