George Lewinski Obituary

LEWINSKI, George (Jerzy) In Ottawa on September 18, 2006. Born in Wloclawek, Warsaw, Poland on August 17, 1914 to Lucjan and Feliksa (Troszczynska). After serving with the Polish Airforce (attached to the R.A.F.) he emigrated to Canada in 1944. He retired from Canadair in 1979. Survived by his wife of 61 years Irene Dudek; children George and Alison (Gopnik), Konrad and Jane (Agnew), and John and Sheryl (Rankin); 7 grandchildren Alexei, Nicholas, Andres, Melissa, Ashley, Jessica and Joey; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Krystna (Mercier); and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Danuta (Gutler). A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa, on Tuesday, September 26th at 10 a.m. Interment at the Field of Honour in Pointe Claire, Quebec on Wednesday, September 27 at 12:30 p.m.
