George
Tchao

To Geezer we miss you man.
December hasn't changed
This town looks the same
They still light their tree in the city square
There's red, white, and green shining everywhere
And I wish you were here
And I wonder......
Is there snow falling down on the streets of gold
Are the mansions all covered in white
Are you singing with angels silent night
I wonder..... what Christmas in Heaven is like
There's a little manger scene
Down on Third and Main
I must've walked right by it a thousand times
But I see it now in a different light
'Cause I know you are there
And I wonder......
Are you kneeling with shepherds before him now
Can you reach out and touch his face
Are you part of that glorious holy night
I wonder..... What Christmas in Heaven is like
Is there snow falling down on the streets of gold
Are the mansions all covered in white
Are you singing with angels silent night
Oh I wonder.... What Christmas in Heaven is like

Hey Mich, it's Kokkino from Socrates. My deepest condolences go out to you guys, I am so sorry for your loss. I only came across this today and was shocked to see what had happened to your father. I remember when he took us all for one of your birthdays to the Bell Center (Molson center back then), to watch a hockey game. I remember thinking what a cool and funny dad Michel has. He was even questioning me about my relationship with Kiki in the limo lol. I also remember him showing us his cell phone, because it was a flip phone and we were all taken aback by how awesome it looked lol. It's so unfair what happened to you guys and I wish for you guys to keep being strong. May he rest in peace.

You made me stronger every day, and I'm putting only positive energy into my life. I know you're guiding us and I'm thankful. I love you forever. xoxo

I will never forget you! #legend xoxo

I've seen my love; I've seen him pass,
He walks with such a grace.
He turned and smiled across at me,
The sun upon his face.
And I could swear I caught the scent,
The fragrance of his hair.
Could I believe – should I believe,
His spirit blessed me there?
His eyes so bright, they shone with love,
No pain to cloud them now,
And when he laughed, no line was seen,
Across that perfect brow.
Oh love, if you would only wait,
Beyond the tears and pain,
We'll walk together, hand in hand,
In love,
In peace,
Again.

I remember when I got the call, that warm mild May night.
I never thought it would happen to us- No! This can't be right!
We raced through town straight to our house in Arizona to see if it was true.
When we arrived cops blocked the door saying "there was nothing we could do".
I dropped to my knees and hit the ground, screaming to above,
"Is this how You show you care God?! Is this how you choose to love?!"
I looked to the stars in search of you, hoping for comfort there.
All I saw was midnight blue, the sky was dark and bare.
The next few days were all a blur, I don't remember much.
I was lost in my sorrow, reality was out of touch.
The planning and preparation were all done to a Tee.
I stood my ground and hid my tears, I was as strong as I could be.
But soon people stopped coming by, there was no more ringing of the phone.
The house became very very quiet. as we cry and feel alone.
When I visit you it's not the same, it's not like your even there.
I stare at a mound of dirt and think, "but if not here then where?".
Where had my Dad gone? No one really knows.
Why did he not flight to live, instead never see us again? Or did he fight not wanting to go?
My Dad has those answers, and for us now it's all good.
No one needs to understand, no one probably could.
My Dad's home now and doesn't hurt, he's happy as can be.
He is up in Heaven with Papou, both their souls are now free.
We miss you Dad, and cry alot. Our heart hurts everyday.
I wish that I could get you back for us, mom and yaya, there are so many things I'd say.
I would say all I never said when I had the chance and when you were still here.
Every word would leave my heart enveloped in a tear.
Your boys

Words alone cannot express our sympathy on the untimely death of your beloved George.
His time with us was far too short.
My fondest memory has got to be when George and I were driving the Firebird around in Phoenix and listening, with the radio full blast, to the band ‘Train' singing “ Drops Of Jupiter" . We felt like 17 year olds again.
It's sad to have lost such a great person. But it was a privilege to have known him in the first place
Sending you our thoughts, peace and courage.

When I first heard the news I said it couldn't be so
No way, not you. It wasn't your time to go
You were larger than life, a shining light
It hasn't hit me yet, I can't sleep at night
A legendary charmer who earned those fancy toys
Great husband and father, you can see it in the boys
No matter where we went, you were always the man
There will never be another hockey pool in honour of “Habsfan”
George, you gave me a chance twenty years ago
Where would I be now, had you not done so
Much more than a hero, much more than my boss
I feel for your family, how they are suffering a great loss
They say life goes on, I don't know if this is true
You touched so many lives. How proud I am to have known you
I'll cherish those moments, those road trips out of town
You were a friend, a leader; I hope I never let you down
Abruptly taken away from us at the age of fifty two
Myself, Julie and the kids will never forget you
I'll miss your laugh, your voice and the twinkle in your eye
There's a void in my heart, forgive me if I cry
God bless you George Manaras
