News Death Notice

STILLWAGON, George B. II age 95, resident of Dayton for 70 years, passed away on July 23, 2009 in Kingwood, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances W. Stillwagon, in 1995. Mr. Stillwagon was an Industrial Engineering Graduate of the University of Pittsburg. He retired as Chief Engineer for The Apex Division of Cooper Industries in 1978. He held numerous patents for universal joints and screw machines. He was active in the Soaring Society of Dayton, the Engineers Club of Dayton (President 1972-1973), Rotary Club of Dayton, Masonic Lodge of Dayton. He loved to fly, and built and owned numerous aircraft. He is survived by his three sons, George B. Stillwagon III (wife Filomena) of Incline Village, Nevada, Robert G. Stillwagon (wife Suzanne) of Green Valley, Arizona, and Kenneth W. Stillwagon (wife Kathleen Huxley), of Humble, Texas; eight grandchildren, Brant, Craig, Kristi, Jeffery, Michael John, David, Carrie Frances and Kenneth James Stillwagon and sixteen great grandchildren.
