Dear Mary: I first met Gerry when we were both members of North Oaks Golf Club. I will always remember two distinctive qualities as I got to know him. His smile and his quiet but intense competitive spirit. Whether he won or lost, his smile was always there and he would be ready for the next event. Ann and I enjoyed getting to know you both as our neighbors when you lived in Brentwood. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and we extend to you our deepest sympathy.
Warm regards,
Charley and Ann Mencel

To the family and friends of Gerald Egan:
It was my pleasure to know Jerry for more than 30 years on a personal and business basis. He was a fine man to be with at all times and a source of great friendship to all he knew in addition to being an outstanding executive. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him well.
