He attended Skowhegan Area High School and served in the Vietnam war.
Gerald is predeceased by both his parents. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Brandy L. Lyons (Newton) and husband Thomas R. Lyons Jr, her children Courtney and Cody as well as great grandchildren Addison and Avery of Skowhegan, Maine. Timothy J. Newton of Ellsworth, Maine. Gerald L. Newton Jr, his children Aiden and Rose of Sanford, Florida. Danny S. Newton and wife Chelsea L. Newton (Allen), daughter Aubree of Titusville, Florida. Karen E. Newton, her children Joshua and Alexander of Christmas, Florida.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. We all love you dad. Rest in peace.
