Gerry Rudnick Schermerhorn Ph.D sadly passed away February 9th at Mayo Clinic of complications following extensive cardiac surgery.

Gerry was a loving wife to Craig for 53 years and a much loved mother to Lauren (Chicago, IL), Chad (Santa Fe NM) , and Alex (Leesburg, FL). She died having been able to spend her final years in her beloved Santa Fe, NM.

Gerry was an Air Force Officers wife, a journalist, and finally the Associate Dean for Students at SIU School of Medicine. She retired early to spend full time with her growing and so loved family.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 18th, 3pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship , 745 Woodside Road in Springfield. All those who knew and cared for Gerry and her family are welcome.
