Gideon Freud

MANALAPAN - Gideon Freud passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. He was 74 years old and a loving husband of 52 years, father of 4 and Saba (grandfather) to 7. Gideon was a very active member of the Jewish community at Sons of Israel where he ran the Junior Congregation for more than 15 years, helping hundreds of young children learn more about their Jewish faith. Gideon was also a pillar of Jewish Community in Monmouth County, NJ for more than 30 years.
Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, he resided in Matawan before settling in Manalapan 1987.
Prior to his passing, he co-owned Atlantic TV in Keyport where he worked for 40 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Jo; son Ariel and his wife Bonnie and their 2 children Aaron and Max; daughter Aliza her husband Josh McKay and their 2 children Zoe and Cayla; daughter Ilana and her husband Anthony Rivera and their son Andrew, son Doron and his wife Melissa and their 2 children Cameron and Madison.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapel, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Sons of Israel Cemetery, Englishtown, NJ. For more information, or to post a tribute online, please visit www.bloomfieldcoopermanlapan.com.
