STORELLI, Giuseppe "Pino"
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing man. Pino passed away in his sleep peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Saint Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, BC. He is survived by his wife Cheryl and her daughter Alexandra, his son Alberto, daughter-in-law Demi, and grandchildren Nico and Melina, daughter Valentina, John, and grandson Matteo, sister Clotilde, and mother of his children Adriana. He was predeceased by his sister Teresa, Renzo and parents Gaetano and Angela. Pino was born on January 30, 1936 in Alexandria, Egypt. At the age of 16, he and his family relocated to Italy where Pino continued his studies and started working. Once arriving in Canada, Pino had a varied business background until he decided to enter the world of finance. He earned his CLU and CH.F.C designations and had a long career as a Financial Advisor where he was respected for his integrity, hard-work and dedication. He loved basketball, tennis, and chess, but above all, he cherished his family. Some of Pino's greatest moments of happiness in his life came from spending time with his grandchildren. He loved being at the soccer pitch, rink, or court and cheering them on as they played their favourite sports. Pino was well respected by friends and colleagues and he will be deeply missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Vancouver Club, 915 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:30 - 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully received by Split Second Basketball's charitable foundation, KidsPlay (www.splitsecondbasketball.com/kidsplay).
