glenn oakley Obituary
Glenn graduated from Lake Zurich High School and spent many years enjoying a fulfilling career before retiring to Mexico, a place he loved deeply. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many activities, including music, art, motorcycling, cooking, and especially star, moon and sunset gazing. He enjoyed get togethers with friends and family, making everyone welcome, cultivating a space where everyone could be themselves. Glenn had a profound love for his family, evident in his role as a devoted father and Opa.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Gina Oakley; children, Sean Oakley and Sara Oakley; grandchildren, August and Javier; and siblings, Heidi (Ric) Rollie, Eric (Gin) Oakley and Christopher (Bruce Steele) Oakley. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Hannelore and Frank.
A Celebration of Life for Glenn will be determined and announced at a later date. His life, filled with love and laughter, will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Glenn was always a really cool guy. I saw him play with his band a few times and it was always a great show. I will miss him.
