Gorden Denmon Bryan

Graveside service with inurnment for Gorden Denmon Bryan, 79, of Huntington will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, February 21, 2016 in the Huntington Cemetery with Brother Blake Powers officiating. Mr. Bryan was born October 24, 1936 in Angelina County to the late Lela (Lemley) and Luther Bryan and passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 in a local hospital. Gorden was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a retired accountant, used car dealer, and auto rebuilder. He was a previous member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Helen (Ainsworth) Bryan; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Carolyn Bryan and Mark and Cindy Bryan; all of Huntington; grandchildren, Brandon Bryan and wife Samantha of Colorado Springs, Jeffrey Bryan of Lufkin, Jonathan Bryan and Kimberly Bryan of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Alanah Bryan and Sebastian Bryan of Colorado Springs; sisters, Myrtle McDonald of Lufkin and Nell Crisp of Nacogdoches; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Chuck Thetford and Melba Anthony; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Joyce Ainsworth and Travis and Johnie Ainsworth, all of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Nadine Ainsworth of Lake Jackson; a number of other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Gorden was preceded in death by a son, Dale Bryan; grandson, Justin Bryan; granddaughter, Candace Bryan; brothers, Waymon Bryan, Norman Bryan, and Roy Bryan; sister, Ruth Nichols; brothers-in-law, Charles Ainsworth, Gary Ainsworth, Jack Riley, Robert Anthony, Herbert Powers, and Charles Crisp.
