Reverend Lam was born on August 4, 1942 and passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. Reverend Lam was a resident of California at the time of passing. He grew up in San Francisco, graduating from Lowell High School and earning a BA from San Francisco State University. Gordon lived his entire life in San Francisco except when he served the United States Army as a chaplain assistant from 1964-1966. A memorial service to celebrate Gordon Lam's life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 3:00 PM at Calvary Presbyterian Church in San Francisco (2515 Fillmore Street). In lieu of flowers, please support the work of Cameron House, Christ United Presbyterian Church, Chinatown Community Development Center or a charity of your choice.

Sandy and Family,

There are hardly appropriate words during these times.

I will always remember Gordie for his spirit and constant sense of fellowship.

I cherish the times that we all sat and enjoyed the warmth and sharing at the Lam family home.

I will always remember the great sense of caring that Gordie shared with all of us.

Thank you all for sharing Gordie with us for so many years.

Gordon,it's so very hard for me to say good-bye ,so for now,I'll just say so-long .I now know that when we meet again,you,Mom,Dad,and Al,will be in heaven with open arms to greet and guide me though God's eternal home.
Until then,I will miss you forever and ever.

RIP Gordie. I've known Gordie since we were teenagers playing sports at the Chinatown Rec Center, Chinese Playground and the Chinatown YMCA. Gordie officiated at my parents 50th Anniversary wedding ceremony in 1983 and also officiated at my niece's wedding. Gordie was a good friend. Jon Leong

I am honoured to say I'm related to Gordon as my son Jason married his beautiful daughter Wendy and both my wife Iris & myself were both taken in by this wonderful welcoming man with his quick wit and his excellent cooking ! My beautiful Iris passed away 7mths back but I'm at ease that she and Gordon are together again most likely sharing a joke a laugh a glass of wine & whiskey and some wisdom from their experiences ❤❤
