FORMAN, Gregory (Greg) Douglas Jan. 28, 1950 - Oct. 8, 2005 P. Eng., Mechanical - Waterloo 1978 Greg passed away peacefully the morning of October 8, 2005, at home in North Vancouver, in his 56th year, after a year long valiant battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Margot (Thomson) his wife of 31 years. Greg, born in Windsor, Ontario, was predeceased by his mother Evelyn (Bland) and is survived by his father, Graham. He will be sadly missed by his brother Bryan and his wife Enid, his sister Barbara Naisbitt and her husband Ian, and his brother-in-law Mike Thomson and his wife Tracy. Uncle Greg will be fondly remembered by his nieces Victoria, Stephanie and Allison (Windsor, Ontario) and niece Kandice and nephew Anthony (Mississauga, Ontario). Very special son-in-law to Jim & Janet Thomson (West Vancouver). Greg will always be remembered fondly by his many friends across Canada and at points across the globe. His huge heart, endless energy, quick wit, boundless generosity, infectious laugh and joie de vivre will never be forgotten by those who knew him. He was never happier than when holding court in the kitchen, wine cellar or on the golf course. Greg derived a sense of accomplishment through lasting contributions in the Quality field, particularly over the past 15 years in Vancouver and environs - testimony to his systematic and thorough approach to the work about which he was so passionate. Laterally the principal of GDF consulting, Greg was quick to turn clients and colleagues into friends, and he leaves behind many in British Columbia, as well as in the St. Catharines area where he lived for more than a decade while employed at Hayes-Dana Inc. School friends from his days at Waterloo University and Riverside High in Windsor will miss his conviviality and cross-county email. His family would like to thank Dr. Juanita Anderson, Dr. Paul Klimo, and his many nurses and hospital staff at Lions Gate Hospital, for their care, compassion and high level of professionalism. In consideration of his expressed wishes, a gathering to celebrate Greg's life will be held on Friday, October 14, 2005 between 3 pm. and 7pm. at the home he shared with Margot.
