Haney, Gregory Renard "Greg" A general contractor and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 4 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. He was 45 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, May 6, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Stanley Plain. He is survived by his mother, Zenobia Haney; seven sisters, Daisy Haney, Yolanda Palmer, Kanisha Haney, Blanche Armstrong, Patricia Hollerman, Rochelle Kornbacher and Debra Richardson; and six brothers, Kenneth Haney, Micheal Haney, Vernell Haney Jr., Stafford Pierson, Dexter Pierson and Vernaljay Haney. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernell Haney Sr. He attended Scotlandville High School and loved carpentry.
