Gretchen Swenson Obituary

(nee Bradshaw) Age 60, of Burr Ridge, IL Passed away at home on Friday, February 25, 2011. She was born October 16, 1950. Gretchen was married to her beloved husband, Curt Swenson, of Oklee, MN for 40 years. Her faith in God and love for others opened their home to family, guests and friends of all walks of life. Gretchen fought breast cancer for the past eight years. Gretchen is survived by her husband, Curt; four children, Scott ( Angela) Swenson of Burr Ridge, IL, Laura ( Jonathan) Olson of Seattle, WA, Steven ( Susanna) Swenson of Madison, WI and their son, Sawyer, and Greg Swenson of Dayton, OH; sister Glennys ( Glenn) Ekman of Minneapolis, MN; brother Jim ( Jayne) Bradshaw of Stillwater, MN; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Violet (Hedin) Bradshaw, and brother, Ronald. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 4 to 9 PM at the Gibbons-Elliston Funeral Home in Hinsdale, IL. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 2 PM at Ashton Place in Willowbrook, IL.
