Greyson Maurice Veal went home to be with Jesus on April 21, 2021 at the age of 2, following a courageous battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Greyson was born in Columbia, MO on June 4, 2018. He was a spunky, funny, and charming little boy. He never met a stranger and was known for having impromptu dance parties, playing catch and lovingly throwing things at people. He loved firetrucks (woo-woos), garbage trucks, and construction trucks.
Greyson’s battle with leukemia began at the tender age of 13 months. He endured so much in his lifetime but his Leukemia is not what defined him. His joy, his spirit and his love for life are what he will be remembered for the most. He always had a smile on his face and anytime he felt okay, even just a little bit, he wanted to play. He had an infectious smile that could light up the whole room.
Greyson touched countless lives. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his parents, Brian and Karla Veal, his brother Mason, grandparents Larry and Reda Muse, Chuck and Karen Tessaro, biological mother Ashley Ransdell, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, his church family and his fellow courageous battle buddies.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Super Sam Foundation: https://www.supersamfoundation.com/
Services for Greyson will be at First Baptist Church at 514 W Rollins in Moberly on Saturday, April 24th. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00pm with services immediately following.
Funeral service will be live streamed at the Facebook and Youtube pages of First Baptist Church. www.facebook.com/firstbaptistchurchmoberly 0r https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcS2IZl05mRcaEutZJ9dQTw/featured

Following Greyson's journey on Facebook was a privilege. To see his spark and smile despite so much adversity, as well as the faith of his family, has been a powerful inspiration. I never got to meet Greyson in person but I'll miss him just the same. And I'm praying for peace and comfort for his parents, his brother, and all those who came to know and love this incredible little boy.

I am filled with so many mixed emotions right now, as I'm sure you are as well. We know all things work together for good while at the same time we ask "Why?" as we grieve.
Greyson brought so much joy to so many.....and, I will never forget the many times he plunged his little fingers into the bag of cheese.....
He will live on with us until we see him again as we gather in a place where reality is eternal and we see the face of Jesus.
Until then, I'm sure all the Grandmas and Grandpas (including my own Mom and Dad) are fighting over who gets to hold him next......and he's having a wonderful time!
Love you so much,
Still your biggest fan and cheerleader,
Aunt Peggy.

In the short time I had the privilege of knowing Greyson, he taught me that it’s important to spread laughter and smiles, that it’s alright to be grouchy when I’m in pain, to be resilient and to enjoy every minute of my life. May God give you Karla, Bryan and Mason the strength to go through these rough days. I grieve with you but happy at the same time to know that Greyson is in heaven doing all his favourite things, and free from pain.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have been following Greyson's journey and my daughter Krista is friends with Greyson's biological mom and she also knew Greyson. I am sending hugs and prayers your way for the days to come.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. Greyson left a mark on my heart. He was an inspiration to many of his prayer warriors! I pray that the love of family and friends and especially our Heavenly Father’s love will help you get through the months and years ahead!
