I grew up next door to the Thorvaldsons in Oak Point. I remember Gunnar for the great support he was to Rose and Helgi and enjoyed his visits when he stopped in on his way to or from the coast. My condolances to the family.

Cindy, To this day I can still picture in my mind your dad working away in his garage on vehicles, doing repairs, I was so impressed at how smart he was. Just want you to know that I'm thinking about you and your family, sending my sympathy and love to you all.

What a wonderful life your father led, Cindy; accomplished in his work, with a strong sense of community, connection to his Icelandic roots and a beautiful, caring family. My sympathy goes out to you and your family at this sad time. No doubt you will be comforted by memories of a life well-lived.

Nephew/Cousin Gunnar is remembered for his kinship & kindness to our family (Rutur & Solveig Thor & dottirs), from Oak Pt, Flin Flon, & Edmonton to us in California. He was our primary link to our Dad's family for which we are grateful. Kindest regards to Cindy, Carla and Gary & Gloria and Gladys & Helgi and Families.
