To Mrs. Metz, Cam, and Bruce:
How can I express what Dr. Metz and all of you have meant to me over my lifetime???
You have always been such a big part of our lives, starting with being best friends with my father, marrying and staying in Pittsburgh, raising your families, and beyond. So many memories of growing up and always having you all with us........Canada, ski trips, Florida, Chatauqua, Christmas Eves, endless dinner parties, silly pranks with the "Gang", and on and on..... Dr. Metz was like a second father to me..... always with a nice smile and a funny one-liner! I think I was the only child in Pittsburgh who never had to go to him for braces !!!!
I will miss him greatly.
Mrs. Metz - you are like my second mother - so I hope you are doing okay. I heard you moved up to be with Cammie and Bruce - enjoy them. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of you. May you take comfort in all your wonderful memories of him.
The strong Metz/Sieber bond continues as I am getting to know your grandson, young Cam and his lovely wife Giuliana here in Pittasburgh - another generation of relationships!
Dr. Metz's picture is how I will always remember him and with so many warm memories of him.
Thinking of all of you fondly,
Love,
Nancy Sieber Tucker

My mother worked with Dr. Metz for years. (Ann Marie Horgan). When she got ill both Drs. Metz took great care of her and always looked out for her.
To you and your family on behalf of my mother I am sending you my condolences. Dr Metz was a friendly guy who always had time to say "hi" when any of my brothers or myself would stop in at the office in East Liberty.

My very first job as a caddy at Longue Vue Club back in March of 1966 was as Dr. Metz's caddy. I can remember vividly the very nice gentleman that he was with the ever present pipe. He was very kind to me that day given that I had yet to learn the ropes. I will never forget that act of kindness and have always treasured the memory of walking at his side. Ironically, I just caddied for my son in the 112th West Penn open at Longue Vue Club on the 50th anniversary of my first day there with Dr Metz. My son took 5th place there and earned his first paycheck as a professional golfer. What a small but wonderful world. My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Metz. He was a wonderful man.
