Harry Scott of Solsberry, Indiana passed away at IU Hospice House on July 19, 2025, at 95 years old.

Visitation was held at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington, IN on Wednesday July 23rd from 10-12pm with the funeral following at noon.

Committal services were held at Valhalla Memory Gardens following the visitation and funeral.

Harry asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Legion Honor Guards.

Harry was born to Jesse and Beulah (Woods) Scott in Montgomery County Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his brothers James, Philip and Grady.

He was married to Cecilia 'Alice' Cain who passed in 2000 and Susan Koeppen who passed in 2009.

Leaving Tennessee at 19 years old, Harry served as an engineer with the 11th Airborne. He left the Army as a corporal with many skills, including coding, equipment operation and a lifelong use of German vocabulary.

After serving, he returned to the states and pursued his love of equipment operation, working all over the Midwest. He was retired from the Operating Engineers. While driving with him he would talk about helping to build this highway or that airport. He loved the outdoors and country music.

He was a Past Master in the Masonic Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite and the American Legion.
