Helen Jane McElroy

McELROY , Helen Jane April 30, 1920 - May 13, 2009 Our beloved Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Helen McElroy, passed away at home surrounded by her adoring family on May 13, 2009. Helen was predeceased by her husband Hector McElroy and is survived by her sons, George McElroy, Arthur and Leslie McElroy, Matthew and Nancy McElroy and her two daughters, Carol Parrot, Debra Peoples Helmer and Gary Helmer. Helen was a devoted Grandma who took much pleasure in her grandchildren, Colleen (Derek), Cathy (Jim), Christopher, Erin, Kim, Colleen, Timothy, Lara, Mark, Daniel, Lee, Shelly (Scott), Rebecca (Jason), Steven (Charlene), Ben, Andrew, Dion (Alison), Eveanna (Jerry), Cole (Nichole), Savannah, Keri, Royce, Jesse, Lindsey, Kiley and Sydney. She was so very proud of her eight great-grandchildren, James, Tyler, Raine, Dallas, Brennon, Logan, Ava and Tatianna. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill and Irene Gray and family, Hank Gray and family, sisters-in-law Rita Gray and Joyce McElroy and her family, and the families of her deceased siblings, Mary Maloney, Margaret Clarke, James Gray and Robert Gray. A Memorial Service will be held at Prince of Peace Manor Banquet Room, 285030 Luther Rose Boulevard N.E., Calgary, AB (Telephone 403-285-5080) on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. The family wishes to thank all those who were so kind to our Mom, Grandma and Great-Gram.
