Two of my sons had Mr. Cummins for 8th grade at Hartford Ave. He was aboslutely THE WORLD'S BEST 8TH-GRADE TEACHER! Modeled being a fully complete human being, and for my sons, a model of humane, intelligent manliness.

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Cummins for my 8th grade teacher at Hartford Avenue School for the 1981-82 school year. He was certainly an entertaining, inspiring, intelligent, challenging, charismatic, and larger than life figure; who had a profound influence on the person I grew to become. My experiences of being in his class, his philosophies, his teaching style, and his antics have been retold thousands of times over the years; with much pride, glee, and conceit. He will always be a part of those who got to bask in his divine presence.
