Herbert H. Doehring

HERBERT H. DOEHRING, 81, of Fort Wayne, left to be with Our Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2005, with his family at his side at Hospice Home. Born Nov. 27, 1923, in Fort Wayne, He was an engineer at Magnavox for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He served in The United States Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of St Peter's Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dolores "DeeDee" whom he called his "Angel"; his daughter, Diane (Robert) Winkeljohn; his son, Denny (Carol) Doehring; and his brother, Don of Florida; he will be remembered by his eight grandchildren, Rob (Rhonda) Winkeljohn, Terry (Jeanine) Winkeljohn, Wendy (Jonathan) Evans, Tony (Jennifer) Winkeljohn, Holly (Mike) Brady, Andy (Amy) Winkeljohn, Andrea (Chad) Goebel and Glen Doehring; he will also be missed by his sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence (Bud) Doehring; and his sister, Geraldine Robinson. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday at St Peter's Catholic Church, 518 E. DeWald St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to Mass. Burial at Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to St. Peter's Catholic Church or Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana. Arrangements by D.O.
