Herbert Martin Glaser

Herbert Martin Glaser (Chaim Moishe ben Michel Leb), of Weston, Florida, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on October 30th, 2023, at the age of 86. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Cherie (nee Weiner); loving daughters, Judi (Steve) Shaw and Mindy (Chris) Glaser McShane; dear stepdaughter Jenny Baitch Isenman; cherished grandchildren Dana and Megan (Andy Bazany) Shaw; Benny, Aislinn, and Joey McShane, Jake and Ryan Isenman; as well as his adoring nieces and nephews and his former wife Marilynn Glaser (nee Luery). Herb was predeceased by his devoted parents, Milton and Doris Glaser and his sisters, Adele Sugar and Ruth Rom.

Herb was a graduate of City College and a veteran of the US Navy, where his service included a year-long goodwill tour on the Battleship Wisconsin. He then graduated from the University of Baltimore and was a CPA until his retirement. Following in a long family tradition, Herb was a Past Grand of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Jefferson Lodge #9 in Pikesville.

A crossword enthusiast, he also loved bowling, tennis, and golf. He maintained a soft spot for the Orioles and Ravens despite living in Florida for 30 years, but mostly rooted for "anyone playing against Indy". Herb will be long remembered as a fun-loving and charming, handsome guy, the life of every party, known for his wonderful sense of humor and his terrible dance moves. May his memory be for a blessing.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, Nov 2 at noon at Menorah Gardens in Southwest Ranches, FL with shiva immediately following (until 8 pm) at the home of Jenny Isenman and again on Friday, Nov 3 from 1 to 6 pm.
