HILL H.M. MCLENDON BARFIELD, JR
of Port CraneAlthough H.M. lost a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, he never lost his heart or sense of humor. He was predeceased by his parents, Hill and Pauline Barfield, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Marcia; and his son Nathan; sisters, Carol and Gordan Showalter, Fran and John Culler; brother, Richard and Helen Barfield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Harry Cooley; ten nephews; three nieces, all of whom were very special to him and many in-laws. H.M. was a 29 year employee of Roadway Express and was very active in Binghamton ASA Softball and local basketball. A memorial service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson with Rev. David C. Seaver, Chaplain of Spiritual Care at Lourdes Hospital, officiating. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery, Brooklyn, Pa. at the Convenience of the family.
