Houston Floyd Obituary
He was born January 28 1938 in Dime Box, Lee County, Texas to Jessie B Houston and Joseph Conrad Tiemann
Houston was adopted as a young child by his beloved step father Clayton Floyd and grew up in Venezuela South America in the Creole Petroleum oil camps
He attended Allen Military Academy in Bryan Texas and was an Aggie, graduate of Texas A&M
Houston served in the US Army, stationed at Fort Chaffee Arkansas, Fort Polk, Louisiana and Verdun France
He married the mother of his sons, Deborah Boriskie in 1958
He retired from Celanese chemical Company at Clarkwood after 30 years service.
He was a little league coach and equipment manager in Portland for more than 20 years and was an avid par golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bobbie Camp Floyd, his son's Lt Col Retired Charles Channing Floyd (Lisa), Christopher Houston Floyd (Kara) grandchildren
Captain Mary Keller (Matt) Oscar Floyd, Lila Floyd, Susan Floyd, Casen Floyd,
Kaiser Floyd, Kannon Floyd, and great granddaughter Roslyn Keller.
Houston was preceded by his parents and his son Clay Lamar Floyd
Interment will be at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with a celebration of his life at a later date

In 1998, I lived in Campo Quiriquire and heard stories about when it was the residence for employees of Creole. On this webpage https://www.randytrahan.com/ocov/quiriquire/qq_gallery_1.htm, I found photos from that era, and many were taken by Floyd. My condolences to the family.
