Hugh Dingman Obituary
March 13, 1923 April 16, 2007
A memorial service for Hugh C. Dingman, 84, of North Bend, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at Hauser Community Church, 69411 Wildwood Road, in North Bend. The Rev. Russ Wayland will officiate.
Hugh was born on March 13, 1923, in North Bend, the son of Clifford and Jean Dingman. He died on April 16, 2007, in Coos Bay.
He was raised and went to school in North Bend. Hugh served three years in the U.S. Navy, from 1943 to 1946. He then became a longshoreman and retired after more than 35 years of service.
Hugh is survived by his wife, Elaine Dingman of North Bend; daughter-in-law, MaryAnn Dingman, of Charleston, S.C.; grandson, Joseph Dingman, his wife, Natalie, and great-granddaughter, Ashley and great-grandson, Steven, all of Charleston; granddaughter, Kate Veatch, her husband, Ian, of Enid, Okla.; and grandson, Tim Dingman, of Albuquerque, N.M.
Hugh and Elaine had two sons, Steve and Dan, who preceded him in death.
Arrangements are under the direction of North Bend Chapel, 756-0440.

Hughie was the best kidder I ever new I can't tell you many times he had me going for the bait. I 'm so glad I stoped in to see him last summer , as it had been years since we had any contact, Elaine my deepest sympathies to you and yours. just frank.........
