On Saturday, July 2, 2011, HUGH LEON SPITZER of Bethesda, MD. Beloved husband of Dinah Stevens; devoted father of Elizabeth Spitzer (Matthew Melchiorre) of New York, Jennifer Spitzer of Indianapolis, IN, Barry (Melissa) Spitzer of Birmingham, AL; loving brother of Joseph (Barbara) Spitzer of Geneva, FL; Fern Spitzer of London, England, Neal Spitzer of Peekskill, NY, Sarah (Neal) Soss of Larchmont, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at 1 p.m. at DANZANSKY GOLDBERG MEMORIAL CHAPELS, INC., 1170 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD. My prayers are for you, the members of Hugh's family. Though I knew him briefly, he could smile at some the life's darkest moments. May his memory always bring a smile to your face and love in your heart.

So sorry to hear of Hughs passing. We had held out hope that he would one day teach again at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute He made a wonderful contribution to our OLLI.
