Dear Linda & Family:
Please accept my sincere heartfelt condolences to you, your families, and friends of Ian. He was a great friend and Brother Mason, I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing and sorry that I didn't get the opportunity to say goodbye! Whenever I met Ian we would always laugh because I would mispronounce his surname as they did when he joined the Scottish Rite. He had a dry wit, was proud of his Scottish heritage and may have said, ’if not for Scotland, there would be no Nessie.’ May the many good memories of the different facets of Ian give you comfort and strength as time passes! Ian has gone to the Grand Lodge above his Mansion ready.
So Mote it be.

Friend/Brother
An honest man here lies at rest,
As e’er God with His image blest:
The friend of man, the friend of truth;
The friend of age, and guide of youth:
Few hearts like his, with virtue warm’d,
Few heads with knowledge so inform’d:
If there’s another world, he lives in bliss;
If there is none, he made the best of this.

It was my pleasure to work with Ian at CaseIH. We enjoyed our lunchtime euchre games and had some really great times on the golf course. I will remember those moments and many others. Condolences to his family and friends.

We met Ian and Linda once in Kitchener when they visited there and later In Hamilton, their home, when we went to visit his sister Gina , Ron, Alison and Kyle Campbell. The Campbells were on holiday from Dundee. We knew Ron and Gina in Dundee.
Ian and Linda took us to Mother's Pizza. The twins were excited. We met Linda and Ian once more. We found the Piries' gentle friendly people and both of them had this huge smile that made one comfortable and welcome.
Our condolences go out to Linda, Neil, Chris and his sister Gina, Alison and Josh in Dundee Scotland.

A wonderful man and Mason. I first met Ian many, many years ago when we were still young and dark haired. I was a soccer referee and refereed Ian many times. Great player and a gentleman on and off the field. Later we met again through Free Masonry. When I was in the midst of cancer treatment Ian was very solicitous and caring when we met at meetings. You will be missed VW Brother.

What a wonderful man Ian was. Our friendship has been for almost sixty years here in Dundee Scotland and in Canada. He was like a father to my daughter Karen when she went to Canada 36 years ago and still kept a fatherly eye on her. We will miss him at family gatherings. Tom and Helen Moran Dundee Scotland

It was a pleasure to have met VW Bro Pirie and we became friends. He was fellow Scot and he came from Dundee which was my late wife's hometown.
To Ian's family my sincere condolences, I know what you are going through at this time.

Linda, we wish you and your family our greatest condolences for the loss of such a wonderful man. Ian will forever be imprinted in my mind, his voice a strong and steady guide on what it means to be a good man. I know this sentiment resounds with many others, and we have all been fortunate to have had our lives touched by his grace and kindness. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you move forward, Ian's bright Spirit always close by.

Ian always brought a smile to others and enjoyed his good spirit with others. I first met Ian while working at Case IH(my father was a foremen and is it alive at 91.) Then we got to know each other better as Masons which I know he was a proud member. As I also remember sharing my family ties of Scotland as my grandfather was from Glasgow plus the Rangers. Another good man to brighten up Heaven So Mote it Be
