IRA R. "WOODY"
Age 91 of Tarentum, on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, well-known area philanthropist and entrepreneur. Established Tour Ed Mine & Museum in Fawn Twp. Owner Woodlawn Golf Course, Fawn Twp. Mr. Wood donated to many area churches and organizations in his lifetime. Son of the late Herbert & Laura (Rittman) Wood. Husband of the late Frances (Girdwood) Wood, who died in 1995. Brother of Helen McMullen of West Deer Twp., Dorothy Markich of Butler, Velma (Raymond) Neese of Mars, Francis (Mary) Wood of Ormand Beach, FL; and his pet dog "Willie". Visitation Wed., Jan. 25th, 7-9pm & Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9pm DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, PA 15084, (724) 224-1526. Service in F.H. Fri. 11am. Interment Deer Creek Cemetery, West Deer Twp. Contributions to the church or charity of ones choice in memory of Mr. Wood.
