Isabelle Bangsund Obituary

Isabelle C. Bangsund, 87, of Two Harbors, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003 at the Lake View Home. Isabelle was born on June 4, 1916 to William and Hattie (Wahlgren) Atkins in Two Harbors, where she was a lifelong resident, graduating from high school in 1934. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and its Ladies Guild, where she formerly served as chair. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, VASA Lodge, Women of the Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William, in 1985; a granddaughter, Debora Rustad, in 1996; a son, James Bangsund, in 1998; a son-in-law, Dale Muellerleile, in 1998; and her sisters, Eleanor Moe and Pat Graden, earlier this year. She is survived by three sons, John (LaVonne) of St. Cloud, William Jr. of Duluth, and Robert (Belinda) of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three daughters, Donna Muellerleile of Babbitt, Linda (Joe) Burtzel of Two Harbors, and Nancy (Ted) Carter of Eveleth; a brother, Robert Atkins of Ohio; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. VISITATION:5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 at Cavallin Funeral Home, and continuing 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003 until the 11 a.m. service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors.
