J. Williams Obituary
J. Rodman Williams VIRGINIA BEACH - Theologian, pastor and professor J. Rodman Williams, 90, left Oct. 18, 2008, to be with his Lord and Savior. Surely, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Although his family rejoices that he now beholds the glory of heaven, J. Rodman Williams will be deeply missed by his wife, Johanna; his daughter, Cindy Pryzmenski; his granddaughter, Laura Kopp and her husband Jesse; his son David and grandsons Seth and Kevin Williams; his sister, Lee Watts and her husband John; and other family members; plus a host of students, friends and colleagues whom he loved and to whom he continually gave himself. A burial service, led by Dr. Daniel Gilbert, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Pines at the Princess Anne Cemetery, 1110 Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, 481-1097. That evening at 7 p.m., a memorial service of praise, worship, and fellowship will be held at Kempsville Presbyterian Church, 805 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, 495-1913, led by Pastor Nate Atwood and Rabbi Joseph Rosenfarb of Beth Messiah Congregation in Norfolk.
