Jack W. Dorman, 95, of North Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Victoria Watkinson-Moore Dorman, his daughter, Jackie Reynecke of Hilton Head Island, SC and his son, Joseph Dorman of North Charleston, SC, grandchildren, Megan L. Dorman of Loxahatchee, FL and Jan (Yannie) H. Reynecke of Nashville, TN, sibling, Wilma Wilkerson of Pfafftown, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a loving extended family, including children and grandchildren of his wife Amanda, Daniel Moore, Dana Bradwell, Gabby, Cole and Lucas. He is preceded in death by his late wife, June Ellsworth Dorman and siblings Albertine Lee, Benjamin Dorman, Jennings Dorman, Paul Dorman, and Al Dorman. Jack was born September 14, 1924 in Conway, South Carolina, son of the late Benjamin Thomas Dorman and Helen Althea Todd Dorman. He was a national treasure and a true hero having served in the Navy on some of the finest aircraft carriers during the WW2 era. Jack was a Christian man, generous with his time and talents, and was always kind, never saying a bad word about anyone. He owned his own business in the auto industry and was a master at buying and selling cars. Jack was a "GQ Gentleman", always dressed to perfection and was constantly on the go. He had a passion for watching auto racing and loved old cars. He enjoyed a good game of Black Jack and was a true "deal maker" from cars to real estate. A memorial service celebrating Jack's life will be held by his family at a later date. In his memory, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in his name to: Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.

Jack will be truly missed and forever remembered by the many who's lives he touched with his words and deeds. Always the Gentlemen, Jack was slow to anger and looked for the best in people. This world needs more men like him!
