Jackson Huse Obituary
TYLER - Jackson Edward Huse died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, following a brave battle with a brain tumor. Jackson spent his final days and hours surrounded by his family and friends whom Jackson had touched in many ways throughout his short but memorable life.
Jackson was born March 31, 2001, in Tyler, and he lived in Arp his entire life. Jackson's life seemed much too brief, but those whom he touched understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile melted the hearts of those around him. Although Jackson's illness changed his life in many ways, he possessed strength, perseverance and courage to show us that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
With Jackson's death, we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. All who knew Jackson and prayed for him have been blessed. His family, especially his parents and family are so proud of Jackson for touching so many lives with his will to live.
Jackson is survived by his parents, Doug and Johna Huse of Arp; sister, Meredith Huse of Arp; brothers, Dillon Huse and Mason Huse of Arp; maternal grandparents, John and Janis Underwood of New London; paternal grandparents, Dee Huse and the late Dwaine Huse of Chapel Hill; uncle and aunts, Dr. Joel and Meghan Underwood of Denver, Colorado, Don and Vanessa Huse of Jacksonville, Dwight and Jenny Huse of Chapel Hill, and Dwaine and Tracey Huse of Tyler; great-uncle and great-aunt, Patsy and Lewis Summers of New London; and numerous cousins and dear friends.
Private burial services will be held at Mason Cemetery in Arp, provided by Lloyd James Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3:10 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at Marvin United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Banks and the Rev. Kelly Krone officiating.
A visitation/reception will follow the service at Pirtle Hall at Marvin United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Jackson Huse Foundation in care of Arp State Bank.

Our family knew Jackson from a couple of chance encounters in our neighborhood. The first was one evening early in December 2006. My daughter and I came across Jackson helping his Dad to change the Christmas lights from colored bulbs to clear as we took an evening stroll. Jackson was so warm, kind and friendly. My daughter and Jackson had the best time chasing each other back and forth--she was on foot and he was riding his Big Wheel. I still remember how delighted she was and how nice Jackson was to entertain her. I can still hear their laughter. The second was very recently when my daughter and her Dad went to go feed the ducks that live in the pond behind his house. We remember Jackson full of life, full of energy and his bright smile. I did not get a chance to meet Jackson but I did meet two little boys (Jeremy and Brendon West) that knew him. They prayed for him every night and they also kept everybody they know informed on how he was doing last school year. They knew when he was in the hospital and when he was at home or school. It was great to see small kids know and care that much about others. I know that you will miss Jackson but one thing for sure he is with no doubt going to heaven. You will always be in my prayers

I remember when you were pregnant with Jackson and so excited we would be at the baseball fields at the wonderfull Chapel Hill Dust bowl. You glowed all the time then when Jackson was born all the brothers and Merideth were so proud. Now you will be so proud to have your very own little angel in heaven to watch over you all. We too lost a son at a young age they say time heals but I think the momories in your hearts and mind is what will do your healing and to know that Jackson will never have to go through the trials of life. I will never forget the Christmas parade we shared in '06. That was my one and only time to meet and be around Jackson, right before "the news", but what a lasting impression!! He was soooo sweet, sooo full of life and soooo friendly. My grand daughter, Jasa and he enjoyed the parade from the back of her Daddy's truck and what a fun time! I have thought about and prayed for him and the family many times since.
