Jacob Grona Obituary
He is survived by his parents, Patrick and Susie, sister Katie, grandmother Joellen Eysnogle, two aunts, Joanie DuVall(Michael) and Lori Diaz (David), beloved dog, Stevie and many close friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and May Roy Grona, and his maternal grandfather, Robert Eysnogle.
Jacob was born on June 26, 1995, in Corpus Christi, Texas where he spent most of his childhood life until 2009. His family moved to East Texas and Jacob graduated from Lindale High School in 2013 where he was a part of an all star cast in the production, "A Taste of Sunrise." His love and skill for theater landed him a number of roles throughout high school and in the community. One such role was Theophilus North in which he says "I want to be surrounded by a constellation...of people. And I want to know that my star played a part in the constellation of others." Those who knew Jacob lost a shining star in their constellation. His hearty laughter and kind soul made an imprint on everyone he came across, and his star will continue to shine bright in our hearts.
Aside from acting, Jacob had a passion for helping others. He was a great listener and empathic, especially to those who struggled with substance abuse. He was working at a recovery center and taking classes to become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
A celebration of Jacob's life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Comanche Trace, 2801 Comanche Trace Drive, Kerrville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to harmreduction.org or Freeman-Frits Dog Rescue & Shelter.

Dear Pat and Susie, I am heartbroken to hear of your loss. Our prayers go out to you for God to comfort you in the coming days. I am so sorry that you are going through such a loss. I loved reading what a special person he was. Your family holds a special place in our hearts.
